Feels tight and stabile, but also has the responsiveness you want in the city. The 110 hp 1.6 makes it quick enough, and should be bulletproof as well . It is also huge inside considering it’s only a 3-door hatch. NP for 3000€ ?

The only thing bothering me is that the service manual is only filled out until 100.000 km. Considering how it looks and drives, it has been taken care of anyways. There’s also no winter tires included.

I thought it was a bit high, then I looked at what 2003 model year Corollas are going for here. Not a single one is less than $4900.  They are all 1.8 sedans though. So... NP I think.

I like the styling on that hatch. Too bad they weren’t sold here.

Doesn’t seem bad...110hp should be peppy enough. I have a 2009 Accent hatch with a 1.6L as well that also has 110hp and a 5-spd manual and it’s not FAST, but I never feel I want more power.

Good luck if you go for it! :)

It comes with a new one (TÜV) , so two more years.

Yeah they are holding their price well. ADAC only mentions brakes and batteries as possible problems, and the car was class leading at the time.

Coworker has the same gen. The headliner is sagging and the engine is making noises which makes us question the health of its internals, still runs perfectly though . He boasts about having never bought a car north of 1000€ so his was probably already in questionable shape when he bought it.

They’re not very common, wasn’t even sold in all the European markets. What baffles me more is the 3-door Auris that followed.

Nothing like a good 3-door Corolla.
